Tenerife is the largest isle of the Canary archipelago. Due to the moderate climate and diverse nature Tenerife is considered to be one of the most popular resorts in Spain and around the world.
Northern and southern parts of Tenerife differ significantly. In the south the climate is warmer than in the north. Sometimes the temperature drop of the air can reach 10 degrees. It is related to tha fact that the mountain chain that crosses the isle doesn't let the north-eastern winds from the Atlantic pass to the south of the isle.
In its turn the hot winds from Sahara cover with their heat the southern part of the isle. That'w why the weather in the south of Tenerife prcatically doesn't change all year round. So, you can come to Tenerife at any moment, because the season of good weather here is always presented.
We can state that the climate in the northern part of the isle is more humid due to the influence of the Atlantic winds. Constantly saturated air in combination with quite high temperature convert the norther part of Tenerife in real subtropical paradise. The coldest months in Tenerife are December, January and February. Nevertheless, the temperature is hardly lower that 17-18 degrees. The hottest months in Tenerife - July, August and September, but even during these months the temperature doesn't go up more than 30-32 degrees.
Sometimes it is raining in Tenerife, mainly in winter, but not for a long time. If you enjoyed the rain in summer, be sure that you are lucky. They say, that such people will have good luck during all the year.
